New Look?
Since I really wanted to go for Blogger Beta, so I could have proper categories, I had to choose from one of the templates they provided. I doubt this template will last, we'll see what I end up with!
About Fasshonaburu & Contact Info

I'm not really sure if these pants are flattering, but they sure are different. They'd probably look best if you had narrow hips. Get them at Stars + Infinite Darkness (very cool site!) for $90.
If your hero is Karen O. of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, you will love the deconstructed, edgy designs of her costume designer Christian Joy.

Capes are gonna be big for Fall, here's a cute one by Diesel that's only $81. I'm not sure how I feel about the safety pin clasp, but it comes in white, purple and grey and you can get it at Yoox.
I like the feel of this shirt, very African- inspired patterns and colors.
Get it at Bluefly for $129.

You know how Indian-styled flats were very much in style this summer? Well, I liked them and now they're on sale at Esprit. Originally $50, now down to just $15! Not too shabby, though I can't imagine you'd wear them for much longer. But hey, there's always next summer.
Vera Wang is designing a line for Kohl's (touchƩ Target!) going to be called Very Vera. It's coming Fall 2007.

I've been looking for a very, very low ankle booties for awhile now, and now I've found some! They're only $120 and you can get them at 6PM.com, which has some great deals.
You too can have the outfit designed by Angela, Michael and Laura on this season's Project Runway! I have to admit, it was very cute and I may have to get the jacket, which is just $129. The matching pants are $89 and the pink shirt is $39. Get them all at Macy*s (which just bought out Hecht's I hear).

There's something about the neon yellow of this tunic... it's just so 80s. Pair it with your skinny jeans and some ankle boots and pretend you're Sienna Miller. $83 on Amazon.com.

Boy I love sweater dresses, I'm so glad they're in style this fall. This one has a beautiful geometric print and is just so damn classy and chic. Get it at ShopBop for $275.
Here are the upcoming trends for Fall 2006 in no particular order:
Metallics
Military Influence
Red & Jewel Tones
Layers, Plaid, Grunge
Skinny Pants and Voluminous Tops
Mini Skirts with Leggings or Thick Tights Underneath
Victorian Influence
If someone can get every one of those looks into one outfit, send me a picture and I'll post it!

I like Verrier's clothing, mainly because it looks like of the Offspring of Chloe and Marc Jacobs, two designers I absolutely adore.
I've noticed that caplets and contrasts piping in shirts are two very big things for Fall '06.

Mod is still in and this hat is something I could see Twiggy put on with some thick black tights and some heeled mary janes. Yet, in the other colors (black and cream) it looks more like something a socialite in the 50s might wear. Hmmm...
Get it at Urban Outfitters for $34.

Here's a beautiful blouse that is perfect for the Fall. It's got Victorian details but it doesn't look like you're wearig a costume. And the buttons are such an adorrabl touch. Get it at Free People for $68.
I own two of these tanks and I absolutely adore them, they go great under sheer tops or for wearing by themselves! In fact, I think I'll order a few more now! Get them at Anthropologie for just $10!
Summer is almost over! Quick, everyone run to the beach before it's too late! And before you go, check out the end -of -summer sales the suits are one. Here a cute polka dot one I like for only $41 (oringinally $125!). Get it at Bluefly and head out into the sun while you can!

I'm on a quest for slim pants that look right on me, so far I've tried on two pairs and both have the same fatal flaw - they fit around my waist and are hugely baggy around my mid-thighs down to my ankles. Here's a cute pair by L.A.M.B. but who knows if they'd look right on me. Anyone have any suggestions?
Get these at Amazon.com down from $245 to $147.

I really like how comfortable this dress looks, great for lounging around the house or to toss over a bathing suit.
Plus you could wear it over leggings and under a flannel and be all grungy if you really wanted.
But please don't.
Get it at Girlshop for the sale price of $55.

Wow, call me Trinity. A leather blouse, what a fascinating idea. After many agonizing minutes, I've officially decided that it's cute and interesting, not tacky and unhip. Whew, now that you have the all clear, get it at Neiman Marcus for $600. I know, it's pricey, but I haven't posted anything outrageously expensive lately and a girl can dream, can't she?
Here's a great site for all you "indie-er than thou" people out there... sorry, I know you hate being classified as anything at all but I had to call you something! Plus, the name of the site is I Shop Indie.
They have crazy cassette belt buckles (this is New Kids On the Block!)
Purses
Jewlry
And lots of various miscellanious stuff.
If you like Urban Outfitters but you're tired of owning the same things as everyone else, this is a site for you!

Here is the Industrial Bloom at Studio 1 AM for $48. It's got a really earthly feel to it that I love, and it's definately a unique piece that not everyone would have. I'm guessing that every time you wore it you would get at least 2 compliments and who doesn't love compliments??

These socks by Juicy Couture were too funny to not post. Plus they're only $12. Get them at ShopBop.
I'm an average sized girl with a rather ample chest. This makes it very hard for me to find button-bown shirts that fit right and don't gape open, exposing me and my bra. This genius of a shirt, by Rebecca & Drew, sizes you first by cup size and then by torso length. So it's a perfect fit! Hmm, unless you have unnaturally large, hulk-like arms.
It's $155 at Neiman Marcus.

Rain drops keep fallin on my head. Get these boots for $63 at plueys. I just adore the goldfish on the side, it's a touch of whimsy that will brighten up a rainy day.

Look at these very very cute wedges from Style Dose. They've got a warm metallic bronze color which means you can wear them from the summer into the fall, plus they're on sale for $100! Plus they look uber comfortable.
Here's a very cute yet simple clutch that I found on Fashion Dig, a fantastic site to shop for vintage clothing. It's from the late 40s, early 50s, can't you just see Holly Golightly holding one? Plus it's only $55, which is a great price for a classic piece such as this!
I like the retro-kitsch of this shirt, with its giant buttons and puffy sleeves. You can get it on Bluefly for $122 (limited time sale, it's regularly $143).

For some reason unknown to me, I really like cacoon shrugs. They just look so damn comfy! Here one by Velvet on Standard Style that I like and is under $100.
The Paul + Jo line is at Target now!
Here a Kimono dress for $30!
and a cute ivory blouse for only $20!
Not too shabby for Target, they're really getting some cute clothes lately.
One of the fashion icons on Project Runway this week was Cher.... Anyone else confused?
Pink Mascara is a very frusterating vendor. I bought a pair of skinny jeans from them but they ended up being baggy down my legs. So I returned them. Me, being spoiled by Bluefly, was shocked to discover that I had to pay for shipping and I had to get them back within just a few days (well, maybe a decent amount but I'm very slow) and then I discover it's only for store credit. Then I look forever for something a little cheaper so it'll pay for shipping. Then I discover credit doesn't count towards shipping and that I'll lost $7 because it disappears after your purchase. So I said fuck it and lost $7 and that's what I went through to get this shirt.

Wow, SmartBargains amazes me yet again. This top was originally $120 but it's on sale for $30! That's 75% off! The have it in baby blue or brown and it's great to wear dressed up or down.
Here's a simple, very chic dress by Custo Barcelona. It's a very classic shape in soft cotton/modal, but the drop-waist tweed waistband adds just the right amount of funk. Plus it's on sale for $134 (originally $191), though they only have two left both in a size 6.
UPDATE: I bought one so there's really just one left.
I sure do love cuff watches, I find that I'm about three times more likely to bother wearing a watch if I can just slide it on like a bracelet. None of this clasp nonsense for me! This is in a fun electric blue color and is only $13 at Girl Props.
If you must have something babydoll, please don't get a dress, get a top like this, which is $68 from Anthropologie. And pair it with slime pants so you don't look like a balloon.

Boy do I love Asian-inspried tops. What I especially love are these wide sleeves which takes a classic just a little to the trendy side. So this is a great piece to have to start building your Fall wardrobe but you can still wear it as a cover up for summer nights with a short skirt and heels. I found at at this super great site, Shop Intuition but it's $215 which is unfortunately a little pricey for me. But it's still cute!
Check out this hot graphic tee from PinUpGirl.com. It's Keith Richards, the inspiration of Johnny Depp's Captian Jack.
