Drumroll please! The winner of the beautiful Twisted Silver necklace is...
A solitary siam red Swarovski crystal bead surrounded by graduated black jade beads. Really beautiful and only $32 at Twinkle, though I could probably go to a local craft store and make something just like this for $10. Still, I think it would be a great, cheap present for the holidays!
Lane Bryant really isn't a bad place for woman's sized fashion. I used to have a negative opinion of it, but they have cute and flattering clothes at affordable prices, like this houndstooth blazer for $60. Plus receive 20% off any online order by entering the code "000209250" at checkout.
I can't tell if these pants are supposed to be jodhpur like or not, they seem loose on the hips and they appear to tighten around the knees but when I look at the gray version of the pants on the site they just look too big for the model. Buy them at Yoox for $87 and let me know!
Next month Chanel is launching a limited edition, eight-gear bicycle complete with leather saddle and quilted panniers, adorned with the trademark interlinked Cs. But at £6,200, you probably want to buy a heavy duty bike lock.

I'm always looking for shoes with unusual strapping and here is a perfect example! I love the Mary Jane / slingback combo, I don't think I've ever seen that before. Buy these at Couture Candy for $116. They're also available in pine green.
PS Today is the last day you can enter my contest for a free Twisted Silver necklace!
Sexy, but still modest enough to wear to your company holiday party (possibly with a shrug but still), this is an ultimate bargain buy for the holiday season! Originally $270 at Neiman Marcus, it's now been marked down to just $95!
I'm always amazed when I see designers so ahead of the trends that their stuff is on sale right when it gets big. Like this top, which is currently on sale for $48 at Stars + Infinite Darkness. Those shoulders are going to be hot for Spring '08, but it now and thank me later!
There's a new craze slowly building out there for chocolate gold. And, no, it does not mean those gold coins kids will be eating tomorrow. Apparently there is a special process called PVD (for physical vaporization and deposition), during which rose gold is bombarded electronically, which makes the metal change color to a molten brown. At first I was like, ew brown isn't pretty, but seeing the pieces changed my mind and now I want! I especially like the contrast between the dark brown and the icy diamonds. of course the pieces above are from de Grisogono's "Browny Borwn Gold" collection, and cost a minimum of $10,000... so I went in search for cheaper alternatives. There's the Cocoa Collection by Licia Mattioli, where pieces range from $1,000 and up, but that's still (possibly) out of my price range.
Then I found Chocolate Gold at QVC. Most pieces are under $100 and, while not as extravagant, definitely cute! But the site says the pieces are "14K yellow gold with chocolate brown plating" is the brown plating gold or something else? Stop confusing me, QVC!

I'm having issues finding a good definition of the baguette purse. Basically it's a mini purse, narrow and rectangle in shape, with short shoulder straps to keep the purse snugly in your armpit. It was always Carrie Bradshaw's signature purse shape and with the movie coming out I get the feeling it's going to make a comeback! So here are two options for you!
The two labels that really specialize in baguettes are Fendi and Prada. Here's a chic Fendi baguette at Bluefly for the discounted price of $516.
Of course I don't know anyone willing to spend that much on a purse, she's here a more affordable version that also comes in beige and pink. Buy it at eBags for $135, and if you use the code "EMGIFT20" you'll get 20% off your pruchase!
Child workers, some as young as 10, have been found working in a textile factory in conditions close to slavery to produce clothes that appear destined for Gap Kids, one of the most successful arms of the high street giant.
Speaking to The Observer, the children described long hours of unwaged work, as well as threats and beatings.
Gap said it was unaware that clothing intended for the Christmas market had been improperly subcontracted to a sweatshop using child labour. It announced it had withdrawn the garments involved while it investigated breaches of the ethical code imposed by it three years ago.
Hmm, it's hard to know what to think on this situation. On the one hand, I do believe the Gap would never intentionally employ child sweat shop labor. On the other hand, they were still negligent on their standards and that's no one's fault but their own. Do you think they need to be boycotted in case more of their clothes are made in sweatshops??
If you're looking for a super cute and unique holiday party dress for under $100, let me show you the way! I really love the metallic gold floral pattern on this pink dress, it gives it an interesting edge. Plus, while originally $197 it's now only $89 at Label Spree, hooray!

This was one of my favorite pieces from DVF's recent collection, so I'm really surprised that it didn't sell out! Not only did it not sell out, but now it's on sale at Queen Bee! Originally $345, it's now 50% off at $173. Will I be able resist buying this next month (my October credit card bill is officially at scary levels)? Only time will tell!
I like how this clutch not only has a handle, but also a detachable strap! It's only available in blueish black, but they don't have a picture. I hate when sites don't have pictures of all the colors, it's very unhelpful! Buy at French Connection for $68.

Another great present for the fashionista in your life, because any decent clothes horse should recognize Karl Lagerfeld! From his own K KARL LAGERFELD line (egotistic much???), they call it a vest top but it looks like a basic tank to me! Buy at Net-a-porter for $130.
Longer, more fitted skirts are back, but that doesn't mean you have to spend a bundle to update your look! This is a great piece, with a nice wide waistband to cover a tummy and a sexy, stretchy fit otherwise. Best of all, it's only $42 at Fan Clothing, hooray!
Even though I not a huge fan of babydoll dresses, I do still like the silhouette when it comes to tops. And I think it makes this sweater fun and unique looking, whoever thought you could make a pleated knit?? Buy at Frock Boutique for $185.
Leather pants have always been on my "Buy Someday" list, yet I've never wanted to spend the cash on something I couldn't wear to work. But now I may have to change my mind because these are some of the cheapest leather pants I've seen! Buy them at Spiegel for the totally affordable $129.
It's been awhile since I've really interviewed someone, huh??? So here's one with Luciana Tiktin, creator of YOSOY FASHION. If the name is familiar, that's because she showed at DC Fashion Week recently! The label has been compared to D&G, Miss Sixty and Diesel and I really love the pieces in the new collection!
How did you get into fashion design?
I started in the fashion industry as a fashion stylist, and then I went into fashion design.
Do you have any formal training? Previous experience?
I did 1 year of design at International Fine Arts College, in Miami, FL. And I dropped, I was more interested about opening my own line, since at that time I was working at Jormar, clothing wholesaler, I had some experience, so just jumped.
What other designers inspire you?
Stella Mc Cartney, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Valentino & Oscar De La Renta.
Describe your typical customer.
Cool girl, 20/30 something, with some sense of style, looking for something unique.
What celebrity's style is the embodiment of your line/if you could dress any celeb in your clothes, who would it be?
Victoria Beckham is the embodiment of the line, trashy euro look, with class & sense of fashion. I'll love to dress Gwen Stephanie, eventough we'll have a conflict of interests. In other case, Scarlett Joahnson or Mischa Barton.
What's in the future for YOSOY FASHION?
YOSOY Fashion is planning to open a Showroom/ Retail store, joining forces with other DC local designers, like L- Shandi, CG originals, Anne Lewis, Holland Cox, Samira Atash, and more.
Congrats on showing at DC Fashion Week! I noticed you had jodhpurs in your collection. How would you recommend creating an outfit with that as a center piece?
I usually wear them with boots and a top. Depends where I'm going I'll style it more, or I'll choose a sleeky top of my collection.
What are some of the other upcoming trends you're seeing for Spring 2008?
Jumpsuits, tie dye, dresses still with a Star Wars flavor.
What's your favorite piece of clothing in your own closet?
You'll laugh, but at this moment I have to say are Jadhpurs. I'm with them day and night...I have them in 3 different fabrics!
If you're a size 6 then I doubt you'll be able to resist this deal! A super cute trench coat with lace details on the belt, originally $605. But it's now on sale for just $182 at Basic Boutique, what a steal! Plus the wrinkled texture is totally fun.

In fashion a "yoke" is defined as: A piece of a garment that is closely fitted, either around the neck and shoulders or at the hips, and from which an unfitted or gathered part of the garment is hung. The more you know! Buy this cute, perfect for Winter dress at Lisa Kline for $235.

I'm beginning to feel a little sorry for Louboutin, whose designs keep getting stolen! But not sorry enough to not post this:
Buy these classy shoes at Barney's for $620, not exactly an impulse buy.
OR buy these exact copies (minus the red soles) for $100 at Steve Madden. I have to say, I think this goes way past just being inspired by other designers.
This tee looks soooo comfy and I bet it would look great with some super skinny knit pants and some knee high boots! Buy at Urban Outfitters for $28.
Don't forget about my contest with Twisted Silver! I'll give you guys a hint, my most favoritest post in the time frame is a pair of shoes!
