Richard Chai F/W 2008

An Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation winner (and one of People’s 2004 Sexiest Men Alive) Richard Chai has worked for Marc Jacobs, Donna Karen, and TSE, before launching his own line in 2004. Since then he's become more and more of an industry darling, with wearable collections that are subtly feminine.
This collection had colors of burnt orange, midnight blue, purple and bright bits of red. Fabrics included cashmere, wool, silk, leather, fur, and, oddly enough, linen. I usually think of linen as a Spring / Summer material, but it worked visually with the collection. There were also some floaty silk crinkled chiffon pieces in oyster print, so maybe he had early Fall in mind.
I think my favorite pieces were the slouchy skinny pants, a very fun silhouette. I vaguely recall Michael Kors doing the slouchy skinny pants awhile ago, but it feels new again.
He doesn't appear to have a website, but you can shop for his designs in Barneys... in store only it looks like.
Here are some pictures!
