Ooo, isn't this Linea Pelle belt just perfect for the whole rocker boho chic thing this fall? Retailing for $107, you can buy it at Label Spree for $33 in brown or black.

"Not only are they two American design greats known for capturing the modern woman's sensibility, Diane von Furstenberg and the late Liz Claiborne have more in common then one might think. Both were born in Brussels, a fact von Fursteberg only discovered Wednesday morning, when she and Claiborne were honored with spots on the Fashion Walk of Fame. Industry folk, including Steven Kolb, Isabel Toledo, Hamish Bowles and Fern Mallis, gathered at the Bryant Park Grill for the induction ceremony and breakfast.
This marks the first time in five years that new designers have been added to the prestigious ranks of the Fashion Walk of Fame, a project of the Fashion Center Business Improvement District. Claiborne and von Furstenberg join 24 other icons immortalized with the distinction, including Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Halston, Calvin Klein, Anne Klein and Oscar de la Renta. This year's inductees were chosen from over 100 candidates. Valerie Steele spearheaded the selection committee, which included Harold Koda, Marylou Luther Imparato, Paper's Kim Hastreiter and others.
Art Orenberg held back tears as he accepted the posthumous award on behalf of his late wife, who is credited with creating the working woman's wardrobe. "I speak for her and through her, because I am convinced she is with us here," said Orenberg, who thanked Claiborne's parents, mentors and colleagues.
Von Furstenberg was thrilled with the much-deserved honor. "A little bit over three decades ago, I came to New York with a few little dresses I had made in a tiny suitcase and a child in my belly. I was terrified of Seventh Avenue," the designer recalled. "It's an honor to get this from the very neighborhood that intimidated me so much." After the day's excitement, von Furstenberg is headed out of town for a brief break from the impending madness of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. "I'm going on vacation tonight!" she exclaimed. "I'll be on a boat, sailing away."

All I want to do is go home and relax, and these pants look like the perfect relaxing pants ever! But they aren't sweatpants, so you could actually run errands in them whilse still looking fashionable, yay. Buy at Lisa Kline for $110.
I've done a lot to avoid posting any monokinis this year. It's not that I hate the look, it's just that last year they were tres overdone. Ok, I do hate it when the suit has a tiny strip in the middle connecting the top and bottom, it feels too super hero stripper to me. But I do like this style, plus it's Marc by Marc Jacobs plus it's on sale for $99 at Yoox.
I immediately fell in love with these Fiorentini + Baker (love that label!) motorcycle boots, but they cost a whooping $498 at La Garçonne.
Thankfully I found these very similar ones by Guess for only $175 at Bloomingdale's. Hooray!
Remember when mini purses on long straps were the rage earlier this summer? Well, people realized that they're super comfy but wanted more space! So now fashionistas are carrying tote bags with long straps and other slim crossbody bags. Here are some options for you!

I believe the Private Label Collection for Target's Go International will be in stores August 1, with prices from Prices range from $17 to $40. What do you think? I like the top in the top row, second from the right. And the top right dress next to it as well!
Dutch label G+N has a new series of jeans, GlueJeans, that are held together by glue, and all are handmade in Netherlands. The super strong glue comes in different colors and each pair is tested for durability. I still think I would be scared of them falling apart, but I bet contestants on Project Runways will be thrilled at this concept ;)
New British boutique alert! Actually, they're technically only new to me since I just discovered, but if you haven't heard of Miss Selfridge, I highly recommend checking them out for trendy and affordable pieces. They remind me quite a bit of TopShop, in fact!
If you have the money for one big splurge this fall, I would recommend this Luella cocktail dress I saw on Fashtiontribes. Unfortunately for me, it's $670 at Net-A-Porter and all my money is now going towards a hotel for NYC Fashion Week.
"Creative teams from both Nine West and New Balance will collaborate on the new line’s design, and branding materials will feature both companies. Boston-based New Balance will handle the shoe’s insole technology and production materials, while Nine West will be responsible for colors and styling. The line will be sold at a select group of Nine West and New Balance stores."
Hmm, I am in the market for new sneakers, maybe I will wait and get a pair! I've never been really worried about being fashion forward in the gym, though - I only want something that has lots of bounce and support and is affordable. So the line better be priced competitively!

I like these gladiator sandals because they don't have an annoying toe thong (yes, I'm one of those people who can't wear flip flops), and they are kinda sling back styled instead of ankle strappy. This means they don't cutoff the legs high up, which I'm never a fan of. Plus, 30% of the sale of these sandals goes to the Humane Society, hooray! Buy at Intuition for $154.
I need more pieces I can wear now without looking like I'm dressing for fall! This cardigan is a slightly fall yellow, but at least it's a fun color as opposed to all the black and dark reds and purples I've been wearing lately. It's only mid-summer, I need to brighten up my look! Buy at MNG by Mango for $59.
Ahhh, fashion hissy fit over, whew! As I have mentioned before, form fitting, bandage style clothing is chic for fall, but if you don't want an all over tightness than why not pair this skirt with a loose blouse? Buy at Asos for the sale price of £38 or about $77 US dollars.

So, I was tres excited about being able to buy the winning dress on the recent "Project Runway" challenge. Now I've discovered that they're only making 150 copies of the dress and they were taking pre-order without telling me! And they reached their 150 pre-order limit. Losing out on a Y-Mail wallet AND a cocktail dress in one week??? Pardon me while I go off to die. Maybe by the time the weekend is over my fashion trauma will have recovered a bit!
As celebs like Gwen Stefani are seen wearing loose boyfriend jeans, their popularity continues to grow. This pair is also distressed, which makes them doubly cool. So that makes them worth $229 at Singer 22, right? Hmm, maybe I should just look in the men's department.
With fashion leaders such as Peaches Geldof wearing hippie headbands, it's only a matter of time before everyone else is too! So here are two options for you, my lovely readers, one high and one low end - both totally fab.
I really like this braided suede and chain one from Madison LA, but it's a pricey $215!
This double one, found at Free People, is make of kimono fabric, something I can never resist, and is a more affordable $28.
Proper Shoe Fit
Here are some tips for getting a proper shoe fit:
• The size of your feet changes as you grow older so always have your feet measured before buying shoes.
• The best time to measure your feet is at the end of the day when your feet are largest.
• Most of us have one foot that is larger than the other, so fit your shoe to your larger foot.
• Do not select shoes by the size marked inside the shoe but by how the shoe fits your foot.
• Select a shoe that is shaped like your foot.
• During the fitting process, make sure there is enough space (3/8" to 1/2") for your longest toe at the end of each shoe when you are standing up.
• Make sure the ball of your foot fits comfortably into the widest part of the shoe.
• Do not buy shoes that feel too tight and expect them to stretch to fit.
• Your heel should fit comfortably in the shoe with a minimum amount of slipping - the shoes should not ride up and down on your heel when you walk.
• Walk in the shoes to make sure they fit and feel right. Then take them home and spend some time walking on carpet to make sure the fit is a good one.
