Shecky's Girls' Night Out In DC

Alyssa and I went to the Shecky's Girls' Night Out last week in DC. While I have been to the Lucky Shops and District Sample Sale events, I had yet to attend this so I was super excited to see what it was like!

Firstly, it was crowded. Honestly, it almost hard to walk through the aisles, as the crowds around booths could get up to 3 people deep! Secondly, it was LOUD. Imagine a giant swarm of women and their girlfriends, shopping and free cocktails. I have to say, it got a bit screechy for my taste. But I wasn't drinking or there to have fun with my friends, otherwise I probably would have been the loudest there!

As for the shopping itself, I was a little disappointed at the amount of local vendors. I had been hoping to discover some hidden treasures of DC, but instead found most of the booths were from DC and traveled to all the Shecky's events. Not that there weren't some great vendors to discover, I really loved Eda & Betty Heirloom Couture, which you can buy full priced at Nordstrom. Here's one of their super cute pieces that caught my eye:Eda & Betty NecklaceUsually around $400, I could have bought it for more than half off! Alas, still too rich for my blood right now.

There was a disproportionate amount of jewelry vendors, a negative for me since I rarely change up my earrings or necklace... bad fashion blogger! And there was nary a morsel of food in site, thank goodness the gift bags had chocolate bars! But they had a cool beer tasting event going on, people doing hair and tons of pretty things to peruse! Aptly named, I highly recommend for a girls' night out! I just wish it was on a weekend so I could have partaken in some of those delicious looking cocktails!
