My Fashion Challenger: Day One

As you may have read, I'm challenging myself to really step up my day-to-day wardrobe! Well, today was the first day of said challenge and, as you can see, I'm off to a very mediocre start >.< I did manage to get up the courage to wear my Rodarte for Target lace tights to work, where you see pantyhose more often than anything else. But my mind kept telling me I needed the tights to be the showcase of the outfit, thus a complete lack of accessories. Looking at these pictures, I could have totally thrown on my bright pink scarf for a more interesting look. Do any of you have suggestions on how I could have improved my ensemble? Does standing like Wonder Woman count as part of my ensemble, cause I'm rocking that!

Even though it's not up to my standards, everyone here in DC has told me how cute I look, ahaha. It's hard to push yourself in such an un-fashion forward environment, but I'll get there with your help!

UPDATE:
While too late, when I got home I forced myself to put on some accessories so I could see how unpainful it was! Looky, it's practically a last minute redemption!

It is hard when you work somewhere where people give you strange looks if you wear something even slightly trendier than Ann Taylor.

I really like what you did with the outfit later. You should add wearing your "improved" outfits to your rules!

How about a post on the accessories that you've got so we have an idea of what to suggest you try? Any bracelets that could've been added to the look?

I can't even begin to tell you how many excuses popped up into my brain as soon as I read this, I was like, I hate jangling, minimal jewelry is my MO, my wrists are too tiny... sigh, you guys have your work cut out for you! Will get a post up listing my accessories though, thanks for the input!
