Wayne F/W '10

This season I caught the Wayne show for the first time, and really enjoyed it. Designed by Vietnamese designer Wayne Lee (who is female by the way, I love that her name is Wayne!), the Fall ’10 line was based on the “warrior aesthetic – a visual distortion of nomadic life.” I found the collection to be very wearable, but still urban and edgy, an aesthetic I can always appreciate. With camo prints, leather jackets and pants, and a color palette of mostly blacks and grays, the clothes felt both tough and feminine at the same time. Although the rust oranges, large hoods, and horsehair belts were intended, perhaps, to bring to mind sparse desert plains, the collection would fit in just as well in the “urban jungle” of Gotham City itself.

Stand out pieces for me included this sweater with harness...

...And this all over camo print which looks so comfortable, but would totally make me feel badass at the same time!

Check out the entire Fall collection below, and if you want to shop the current season right now, I found a bunch of items at Ssense
