Festival Chic

Festival Chic
I haven't hit up any big summer concert festivals in awhile - DC hasn't really had a good once since HFStival was actually put on by an actual radio station! And DC concert fashion just doesn't hold a candle to something like Coachella or even Bonnaroo. Think flip flops, jean shorts and basic tank tops.

But this doesn't mean I don't know how to provide killer advice on festival dressing, I've seen pictures! As long as you wear a combination of things from Urban Outfitters, ASOS, Free People or TopShop you'll be set, ahahah. But really, concert festivals are where "foho" went to die (that's fugly boho). This is where you can still get away with high waisted shorts paired with crop tops and the like.

Now if you want to stand out, but in a good way, go for bright fun patterns with boho or ethnic roots, like ikat or maybe paisley. I recommend wearing a romper or shorts just to make it easy to sit on the ground, but a pretty sundress also works. A roomy crossbody bag is the best for carrying sunblock, water bottles, blanket, concert tees and the like all day. As for shoes, I find that it's usually too muddy or dusty at a concert for sandals, I prefer a cute pair of army boots or some Chucks. But gladiator sandals are super cute too, if you don't mind the dirt.

Going to any big concerts this summer? What do you plan to wear?
