Edition by Georges Chakra S/S'11

When attending an Edition by Georges Chakra runway show, one knows what to expect: dresses, dresses, and more dresses! Its what he does, and that's okay, because he does it amazingly well. With 46 dresses coming down the runway, what could have become repetitive was anything but. I was impressed that he was able to present a collection that felt cohesive and yet show such a variety of designs. The garments ran the gamut (say that three times fast!) from classic red carpet gowns, to modern, sexy, cocktail dresses. While luxury dresses are not usually my cup of tea, the Edition show has become a must-see for me at Fashion Week due to the flattering feminine cuts, craftsmanship and attention to detail. It would be hard not to feel stunning in one of these garments.

Kelly Rowland and former America's Next Top Model contestant Jaslene Gonzalez were in attendance. I ended up sitting next to Launch My Line contestant and New York Fashion Week mainstay Patrick McDonald.

Look at the movement of this amazing ombre chiffon gown! It flows so beautifully, I feel like I could jump in and swim in it!

The lines of the black satin straps on this dress are so visually stunning, and it has a bit of a edgy/rock vibe to it.
