Lela Rose F/W '11

The prints and colors at Lela Rose were quite refreshing after so many blacks and neutrals! Inspired by artist Gerhard Richter's technique of scraping paint off the canvas, there were lots of beautiful painterly prints. I saw Rose McGowan, Brittany Snow and possibly other celebs sitting in the front row. One of the best touches was that every giftbag has some biscotti actually made by the designer in her kitchen!Structure was contrasted with some diaphanous materials; lightweight yarn and chiffon flowed on the runway along with pencil skirts and pintucked tops. Some sweaters has interesting folding at the shoulders which resulted in slight points, like above.
The color palette included emerald green, dark blue, and a pale aqua (there was a coat lined in that which possibly killed me as I was in heaven). All the shoes were Lela Rose for Payless, one of the best shoe collaborations I always forget about, many pretty frocks and dip dyed feather embellishment dangling from skirts.
The gowns were quite spectacular, very red carpet ready... anyone in her PR team reading this post and want to dress me for a gala in DC in fall??? Here are all my shots:
