My Style Challenge: First Day at SXSW

When I stated on Twitter that "packing for SXSW was harder than packing for fashion week," I got a lot of "you're crazy." It's true that the unofficial uniform of SXSW Interactive, which is one of the top conferences for online and emerging media, is jeans and a t-shirt with some sort of ambiguous nerdy slogan on it, paired with either Chucks or TOMS Shoes. But just because I'm also a geek doesn't mean I eve stop being a fashion blogger!! So while NY Fashion Week can be "anything goes as long as your confident," I maintain that the less fashionable atmosphere can actually be tougher to dress for. Though in the end I still have a bit of a "sod it, I'll wear what I want" attitude! The first day of panels and events I decided to mix prints - pretty much the norm in NY but certainly a bit stand out in Austin! That plus socks with sandals and I was ready to take on the masses of jeans and tees, mwahahahah!

I'm wearing: Floral print dress by Tulle, sailor striped blazer from ModCloth, necklace by P.A.M., vintage Gucci watch, new glasses from Oliver Peoples, ankle socks and Ecote sandals from Urban Outfitters!

What do you think of my look? Sorry for the lack of posts, I'm still at the conference and my days are jam packed, whew!

Both images are looking gorgeous but the first one is more appealing and the eyeglasses just adding the beauty to your look.
