Eddie Bauer Blogger Day

Eddie Bauer invited a bunch of local bloggers to come out and style their latest fashions on models in store last week. I admit, at first I was skeptical ("Eddie Bauer?? Are the models soccer moms???"), but I live right next to the one in Tysons Corner Center so I decided, "Why not?"

Holly of Refinery29 - DC and Rachel of Project Beltway
SO glad I went out! First, it was great seeing all my fellow "Fashintonians," like Rachel of Project Beltway and Brea of What I Wore Tip to Toe.
Orange puffy jackets hypnotize me
Secondly, it was so much fun playing dress up with the clothes they provided! There were two racks, one for men and one for women, with lots of really cute pieces for country AND city. First up I dressed the male model
Hey, good looking!
As you can see, I gave him  a red & grey plaid shirt, grey jeans, navy puffy vest and topped the look off with a scarf! No, it probably won't get him on The Sartorialist, but I think he looks subtly chic - exactly the right amount of fashion for the majority of men in DC!
Which one's the model??
As for the women styling, I had her wear a mens' sweatshirt (omg, must go back and buy - so soft and comfy!) over a purple plaid shirt, with some black skinny jeans, a red puffy vest and a bracelet and necklace!

While I was there I definitely saw a few cute pieces, including a great chambray shirt! So don't dismiss Eddier Bauer as an old lady store - it's a great place to buy basics and find flannel shirts for the upcoming grunge resurgence.. that's right, grunge is next to make a comeback!!!
