Kathy's Design: White Tweed Dress

I've always loved the glamour of the 1930s - it became the inspiration for the dress that I was going to wear to celebrate my birthday. I definitely wanted a low V back (I think backs are usually ignored, it's too bad), so I worked the wide ruffled sleeve which were typical of the 30's into the ruffles down the back. I found a winter white, wool-blend tweed with pretty silver thread woven throughout and just fell in love with it. Done and done. The white tweed is perfect for wintertime, and I was so lucky that we've had such nice weather for November!
It was really hard to photograph this in a bar at night! I was wearing this dress with leggings and over-the-knee black boots.
