My Style Challenge: No Place Like South Moon Under

I have only just gotten back from Japan when I decided to plunge back into fashion blogging by attending last night's South Moon Under look book launch featuring Spicy Candy DC. I was heading out when I saw this face...

How can I resist??!? I ended up taking her along for some fashion dog fun times. I'm wearing: Striped top from Bluefly. Elizabeth & James jacket, pink pleather skirt from Japan, TopShop glittery shoes, Jill Stuart purse, Tom Ford sunglasses and Rodarte for Target tights. Jewelry includes spike bracelet courtesy of Stella & Dot, vintage Gucci watch, Perks & Mini vampire necklace, mixed metal bracelet from CUSP and cluster ring from Old Navy.
Can we all just stop and admire these shoes for a second?? It's like Dorthy's slipper had an affair with spring 2012 and these shoes are its baby! I know they're a bit copycat from the Miu Miu glitter heels, but they're not an exact copy so I feel like I'm kinda squeaking by. But I'm probably in denial... Opinions?

The event itself was great - I saw tons of fellow DC fashionistas including:
The President Wears Prada. Great blouse and minty blue pants!
Stylist Emily Kate - YES I forgot about socks and pumps, but that I remember oh how I missed you!
Of course the ladies of Spicy Candy DC, Carlis and Katys, posing with Dani Stahl of Nylon and the hair & makeup team behind the look book.
And I saw Ally of Chain Strap Purse and Lacey of A Lacey Perspective before I left! Kyoko begged to come but then was like, ahhh too noisy so I didn't stay too long. Oh wussy dog, you made my already somewhat amateur style pictures even harder! Next time I will distract you with treats and run out ;)
She did get her picture with Dani Stahl though, she was tres pleased with that! Now all she needs are some fake glasses and she'll have serious hipster cred!
