My Style Challenge: VP's Residence
One of my favorite aspects of my job is that I get to attend a few events every year with important politicos! Yesterday I went to a military Mother's Day giftbox stuffing party at the Vice President's residence, hosted by Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden! When I heard I immediately had to create an outfit inspiration board... but now it's time to see what I actually wore!
My hint of edge was probably found in my jewelry. I was certainly the only person there rocking a "soiree of the wrist nature," and I really loved what I did with my necklace(s)! I pretty much layered on six or so pearl strands (my mother and aunt bring them to me whenever they go to the Philippines) and then laced through one gold chain and one silver chain - instant statement necklace!!
I'm wearing: Purple dress by Theory, grey J. Crew sweater, Cole Haan wedges, Jill Stuart purse and Juicy Couture cateye sunglasses. My necklaces and earrings were all gifts from family, the large silver bracelet is from H&M, the purple leather wrap by Juicy Couture, a vintage Gucci watch, spike bracelet courtesy of Stella & Dot, and stacking rings mostly from Banana Republic.
And the real reason you came to this post...
Great colors, mixing dots and stripes... per usual FLOTUS looks amazing!!!!

I am excited that the POTUS and I wore the same pants this week. Everytime I go to the EOB I wear a sheath dress in a nod to her.
