Stripes: Work, Weekend & Wingding

If you haven't noticed, graphic black and white stripes are everywhere this spring!! So I decided to come up with three budget-friendly looks that incorporate the trend for three different occasions: work, the weekend and a wingding. Yes, I spent a good 15 minutes on Thesaurus.com to find a word that means celebration that starts with a "w" ahahah.

First up is a mega bold look not for the faint of heart! Wearing a stripe skirt suit, I paired with more classic shapes and neutral-esque colors... besides a pop of color in the form of neon pink heels!

My second look is an easy weekend outfit, perfect for errands or brunch! The striped sweater acts as a neutral and works great with some coral pink pants! Add in some spring sandals (ok, maybe not great for today, but warm weather has got to be around the corner!), a neon accented satchel, and some mirrored sunnies for an easy chic look!

My wingding look is a tres beautiful striped dress with deep purple trim! Super beautiful, can you believe it's less than $30 at Target?? With a cropped tux blazer and some yellow accessories, you're ready for a soiree!

Well I saw she got these new shoes and was like, "oh em gee I must find them" ahahah. And hooray, I did! They are Camper, but a very pricy $265..

Inspiration Board: Fashion Sweatshirts

There's wearing a sweatshirt and then there's wearing a fashion sweatshirt!!! These usually have some sort of embellishment or print and cost too much to ever sweat in. Perhaps even are dry clean only! Obviously a fashion sweatshirt, which is super chic for spring, requires much more thought. So I went ahead and crafted an inspiration board to help us all out!

Hmm, looks like one of the cutest ways to rock sweatshirt fashionably is with a skirt! I recommend one that balances with your top - if your sweatshirt has a lot of volume wear a more fitted skirt. And don't forget some chic heels! Overall it's best to pair a sweatshirt with more tailored pieces for contrast - you don't want to look like you're going to the gym.

My Style Challenge: Boyfriend Jeans & New Sunnies

I recently did an inspiration board on how to style boyfriend jeans - of course I had to test it out for reals!

My jeans ended a touch higher than I wanted (weird since I'm just 5'1!), so I worry that my legs look thicker than they should... hmmm, what do you think? Next time I think I will pair with some sassy heels instead, but it's still pretty cold out! Anyhoo, I paired with a menswear shirt half tucked under a girly sweater layered under a boyish blazer - my look is the ultimate in contrasts!

Can you believe I didn't own any tortoise shell sunnies before?? Very happy with these from Sunglasses shop - much higher quality than I expected... perhaps I should stop spending $100+ on sunglasses? Though I did browse their selections and was tres tempted by their designer sunglasses, Oakley sunglasses and Ray-Ban sunglasses!

Bright light, you can't stop me, these eyes are protected!!
