Another odd trend I've noticed lately are fur purses! Definitely unique and eye-catching, I've noticed them all over fall editorials. Here are three in various price ranges for you!
This Marc by Marc Jacobs cross body bag would be awesome for your laptop and books! But it's a super pricey $598 at Shop Bop.
At Kate Spade I found this leopard print bag for $345, which also doubles as a muff - what a super fab idea! I acutally have a vintage muff with a pocket that I suppose would work the same way, I wonder if I could get a strap to attach to it...

My Style Challenge: Posh Ladylike

It's funny, while I love feminine details, I'm very rarely ladylike. My ruffles tend to veer towards deconstructed, and looking put together feels a little "ladies who lunch" to me. But I had this beautiful dress by Christian Francis Roth that was tailored and classic looking, yet color-wise had a bit of edge. I believe my fiancé's exact words were, "That dress is screaming at me from behind a veil." And I knew it would be a perfect start to a look that would exemplify fall's trend of ladylike grace!I paired the dress with a cardigan with pearl buttons, ohmygosh I can't believe I even own that! It reminds me a little of Eloise at the Plaza ;) A belt on top, because a lady always shows off her figure, and then some close to kitten heels. They're probably two inches, which isn't tall but I maintain a kitten heel musy be less than that! I couldn't resist my wacky sunglasses though, at least they're oversized!

It built its name with feminine pieces and details, lots of embroidery and beading. Now a days I equate the label with pearl & ribbon necklaces, ruffled, one shoulder cocktail frocks and, of course, ballet flats.

Inspiration Board: Moccasins

While most fashion experts agree that the loafer is one of the top shoes for fall, I noticed that tasseled loafers reminded me quite a bit of moccasins. Really the only difference is how the vamp of the show is stitched - a moccasin is like a loafer turned inside out! So then I became obsessed with getting a cute pair, preferably in grey, for fashion week - you know that would be a comfortable shoe to traipse around NYC in! But how to style them, hmmmm...Maybe I should wonder how NOT to style them! Skinny jeans, leggings, tights, bare legs, causal, dressy, the list goes on and on! I would say my favorite look would be bare legs, with a slightly flowy dress in perhaps a fall floral print. But really, they're as versatile as ballet flats, a fun new staple for your closet!

I think J Brand must be my favorite, most flattering denim line, so it's very difficult for me to resist these! I've been looking for some cute camo print pants for awhile, but I'm not sold on the waxed finish. Plus, they're $168 at Singer 22! Suck What In: Small Girl Reviews Spanx

There's no denying that I'm a petite person. At 5'1, with bird bones and a gym obsession, I felt a little weird trying to review my latest gift, Spanx. But, hey, if Lindsey Lohan wears them to an awards show, really anyone can have some benefit, right?
So I threw on my most unforgiving dress and took some snaps. No sucking in (an urge every women has when a camera is pointed at her), just me au natural! Even though I am small, I must say it's a bit unnerving posting these pictures for all to see :O So let's see what Spanx does...
Hey, I'm suddenly more camera ready! From the front the difference is pretty small (though definitely there), but from the side my lower tummy definitely looks nice and flat! So no matter what your size, it looks like Spanx can smooth you out!

But I know what you really want to know: Yes, there is a hole in the bottom for going to the bathroom ;)

PS Why is my relaxed face so angry looking?? Should I widen the space btwn my eyebrows, I read somewhere that may help.

Shopping My Closet: Silk Purple Blouse

I've mentioned it before, but since I've reigned in my shopping I'm really going to try to work on shopping my own closet! Most of what I'm wearing here you've seen before: Twinkle skirt, Cole Haan heels, Rachel Leigh necklace, Splendid tank. With the exception of the great Michelle watch that was gifted to me, and my Ann Taylor blouse! Oh, and my dad's vintage Rayban's - tres chic, no?I still have a strange fear of button down tops. Yet I'm obsessed with cardigans, which I wear almost daily! Instead of buying new sweaters, I need to remember that a blouse worn open has the exact same look. This almost doubles my top layering options for free, hooray! It's always so very important to consider the various ways you can wear a piece of clothing before you buy it... or toss it out!
