Geez, seems like EVERYONE is getting designers to do collections for their stores now! Designer Geren Lockhart was raised between Northern California and New York City. She studied at Parsons in New York and Otis in Los Angeles, and after a 12 year career in advertising, she decided to launch a line of clothing named Geren Ford. Geren Ford's dresses and tops have been seen on celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, Flea, and more.

Now this is genius! "Bruce Oldfield, who boasts Catherine Zeta Jones, Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall and Jemima Khan among his client list, has created a range for the fast food giant's 67,000 UK staff." Ok, so the name isn't immediately recognizable, apparently Oldfield is a UK designer best known for his couture occasion wear (IE Oscar gowns and bridal wear). But now maybe more people will be interested in his designs and McDonald's gets a desperately needed image makeover. The collection includes a black and mocha polo shirt, black cargo-style trousers, a black and mocha baseball cap and black belt and apron. Male managers will wear black suits with white or biscuit coloured shirts, with the choice of three ties. Female managers have a scarf, button down shirt and skirt. The picture shows the male manager, the female manager, the designer himself and the regular employee. It's definitely a step up!

Hmm, here are some of the outfits that will be features in Rogan Gregory's collaboration with Target, out May 18. I don't really feel like there's enough color, especially for a Spring / Summer collection, but I like that he took a risk with the romper. Are the non-hipsterati ready for the jumpsuit??? Time will only tell. See the entire collection at Target.

Rogan Gregory's capsule designs for Target may not have generated the same frenzy as the Kate Moss for Topshop collection, but the collection certainly has a fan in Barneys New York. Julie Gilhart, the store's fashion director, has worked her magic by persuading Target to launch the Rogan for Target collection at her Manhattan and Beverly Hills flagships in advance of their launch at the superstore. The collection, which marks the first time Barneys has carried Target merchandise, will arrive in New York and Los Angeles on May 8 and 15, respectively, and will be carried on the Co-op floor. The pieces will only be in stock for five days-after that, shoppers will have to wait for the mass debut. Gregory's relationship with Barneys is well-documented, the designer having helped establish the Loomstate for Barneys Green collection. Tonight, along with the Sundance Channel, the duo will celebrate their partnership in L.A. with a performance by She & Him featuring Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward. On April 22, the festivities will continue in New York with a performance by Kate Nash.
Wow, I never thought I'd see the day!

Geeze, Phillip Lim has been a busy little bee lately, no? But I had no idea he designed some Birkenstocks! This is an ultimate buy for Summer with that whole boho look still in, plus they're actually kinda affordable!! All I've seen are under $200 and you can find them at Barney's and eLuxury.

Has anyone noticed the Phillip Lim for kids line? Everything is soooo super cute! There are even items that are exact matches of the grown-up girl version (but not the same quality of fabric). And it ain’t cheap. If anyone is going to be matchy-matchy with their daughter or sister, this would be a great time to buy Phillip Lim! Find peices at Neiman Marcus and prices range from $55 up to $325.

Well almost. Express is finally unveiling a designer collaboration collection! Working with British printmaker Celia Birtwell (the woman behind Ossie Clark), the line will debut April 7 at 100 Express stores nationwide, including at the Beverly Center, South Coast Plaza, Glendale Galleria, Brea Mall and Del Amo Fashion Center outposts. It looks very boho-inspired and pieces will be under $150. Now if only you could buy their stuff online!

Richard Chai is supposedly the next designer for Target! I went to his F/W 2008 show, which was fabulous! I like his minimalist sensibility, which works really well when translating pieces into something more affordable.
Thinking ahead, who do you think should be next? I totally want Chloé or Marc Jacobs! Milly or Mara Hoffman might be good too, and would make their names more mainstream.

And finally, the my favorite looks from Paris fashion week! Nothing from Mui Mui because I actually really hated their new collection :(
Nina Ricci - I really like the look of that cape!
Paul & Joe - Unicorns are kickass
Chanel - If only because it's Chanel!
Stella McCartney - The dress looks like something a wood nymph would wear!
Viktor and Rolf - Because I can totally make my own version for $15 with some sparkly puffy paint

The Jovovitch-Hawk collection for Target is out! Though I'm not big on the dresses, they seem a little too voluminous on real life bodies. But this swim wrap is very cute and only $30.

It appears Marc Jacobs is supporting Hillary Clinton, as these tees are available in-store at his boutiques. The cost $38 and proceeds do go to her campaign. I found some on eBay if you like communists. Ha, I kid, I kid! I'm voting for Kodos, personally.*
*Kang and Kodos are normally villainous and in their appearance they antagonize the Simpson family and the human race. They have invaded the Earth on several occasions, with varying results. On one occasion, they impersonated Bill Clinton and Bob Dole and ran against each other in the 1996 election. The American people first declared that they would fight back by voting for a third party candidate, but Kang managed to convince them that doing so would be a waste of a vote and he was elected president.

The video showcases celebrated designer Thakoon Panichgul and the creation of Lancôme Color Fever Shine Lipstick in Pixel Pink. The video was created by Grant Greenberg, the New York City-based filmmaker who directed the charming Peter Som lipstick video for Lancôme, and features the artwork of painter and experimental filmmaker Jeff Scher.
I heard Pixel Pink was sold out at Lancôme-USA but here it is! You can also find it at Lancôme’s five U.S. boutiques, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

Tara Subkoff, designer and co-founder of clothing line Imitation of Christ, recently did some designing for Bebe. I like all the pieces, definitely worth checking out, and I especially like this quilted heart bag. It comes in black or red, costs only $79 and is perfect for a night out on the town!

Hmm, I liked the Dquared2 theme of sexy, kinda punk librarian. A little more subtle than their usual collection though. But what caught my eye was they sent a model down the runway smoking a cigarette. And while I doubt to many young girls follow the shows in Milan, it promotes the idea that a cigarette is a fashion accessory. This bothers me a little, even though I am a smoker, as I thought the mindset of cigarettes = glam was so over. I think the designers are just lashing back after too skinny models got banned in some places; I know in Milan recently ruled that runway models have to be 16 and over and be able to present a medical certificate to show they are not suffering from an eating disorder. Well, it is Europe - everyone smokes! So maybe it's just not a big deal? What do you think?

Hmm, here are some of my favorite looks from Milan!
Versace - Super fab print!
Belstaff - Love that slanted breast pocket!
Fendi - Those sleeves are the hotness!
Dolce and Gabbana - This dress has made me obsessed with tulle underlays! Not to be confused with their Dolce & Gabbana show (note the ampersand)
Iceberg - I wonder if my knitting friends can make me this...
Gucci - I'm not big on boho, but I love the 70s rock look... yes it is different, I swear! It's less earthy, more glam.
Prada - A slightly less wussy lace that will be HUGE for Fall
Jill Saunder - One of the best and most wearable tiered ruffle inspired looks so far. Or is this a bandage inspired dress?
Moschino Cheap & Chic - I'm a big fan of the brush stroke art trend
