LiLo's Leggings Sold Out!

Wow, I only recently wrote about how you could order pieces from Lindsay Lohan's leggings line, 6126, at Intuition, and now they're completely sold out! Honestly I'm a little surprised, I really thought we'd be seeing the end of leggings soon, but I guess not.

Vogue & IMG Team Up for Online Realtiy TV

I am so totally watching this!!! It can be my model fill since "America's Next Top Model" got too annoying to watch.

"In a new effort to attract a younger audience and capture marketing dollars that are increasingly going to the Web, Vogue magazine has teamed with the fashion and media divisions of IMG to produce an elaborate Web-based reality series about the fashion industry.
The show, called Model.Live, tracks three models as they navigate casting calls, catwalks and airports for fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris. The first of 12 eight-minute episodes will debut Aug. 19 on-demand on Vogue.tv. The shows will also be syndicated on sites such as Veoh.com and hulu.com."

Kitson Drops Lauren Conrad's Line

Kitson Drops Lauren Conrads LineApparently Kitson has just decided to drop Lauren Conrad's line from their store. "Sales were lackluster," Kitson owner Fraser Ross told us. "Initially it was great." Ross tried to get Conrad to do a personal appearance in the store but said her people couldn't figure out a date. "They need to realize it’s no different than selling your album, your TV shows, your movies. You have to keep promoting it." They also dropped Victoria Beckham's denim line a few weeks ago, and have no plans to carry her upcoming menswear line. Maybe this will help squash more "celebrity" lines! Just because your famous and get free cute clothes doesn't mean you have talent! The only celebrity designers I've ever liked are the Olsen twins and Gwen Stefani.

Richie Rich Shoe Line

Though it's all but official that label Heatherette is over, half the design pair still has plans to stay in fashion. Richie Rich is planning a shoe line, Rox & Riley, and hopefully it'll be men's AND women's! Also, look for his first compilation album, "Celebutante," out in September. The album shares its name with the collection Richie is designing exclusively for mall chain Hot Topic... gross. Hopefully it will be cuter than the Perez Hilton line!

Dorian Leigh Dies at 91

Dorian LeighDorian Leigh, big time model of the 1940's died in Falls Church, VA. I had no idea a famous supermodel was so close to me! Even one at 91. Doesn't she look like Dita von Teese?
Apparently "Truman Capote called his friend Ms. Leigh “Happy-Go-Lucky,” and she had many similarities to Holly Golightly, the heroine of Capote’s “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” — not least what Vanity Fair called her wayward lifestyle and reckless bravado."
OMG the original Holly Golightly!!!!

Britian's Missing Top Model

A new UK reality show called "Britian's Missing Top Model" is set to debut on the BBC this July. The show is a modeling competition featuring models from around the world with various disabilities. Some of the girls have missing limbs, one is paralyzed and another is deaf.

Producers on the show are major lie-tellers because they claim they are "trying to raise awareness." U.K. Marie Claire editor Marie O'Riordan, who serves as a judge for the show, says, "I do believe the program could help challenge our attitudes to disability. I want to see the winner shake up the fashion industry. These young women shouldn't be invisible to the fashion world just because they are disabled."
Hmm, I think this is an interesting idea, though there is the drawback the the models themselves would take the focus away from the clothes. And how limiting would it be to work with a paralyzed model? Even for a sit down shoot, someone else would have to cross and uncross her legs, etc.

Victoria Beckham to Unveil Dress Collection at NY Fashion Week

Apparently Victoria Beckham will be debuting a fancy dress collection at NY Fashion Week in Septemeber. Hmm, I wonder if I can finagle an invite, ha! Beginning at $1,200 retail these "POSH frocks" will be very upscale, and she eventually plans to expand to purses and shoes as well. She's also developing a fragrance line, like every other celebrity out there.

Battery Operated Mascara

Estée Lauder from introducing what is believed to be the first tube of vibrating mascara. Seems like a good way to lose an eye to me, but they claim there is "a relationship between vibration, length, volume, separation and curl." Called TurboLash All Effects Motion Mascara, the mascara brush will vibrate at 125 micropulses per second and will run you $30 at Saks starting July 17.

LiLo Leggings Soon Available

Linday Lohan's leggings are getting closer to store shelves! The starlet’s new line, named “6126″ after Marilyn Monroe’s birthdate, has been picked up at L.A.’s posh Fred Segal boutique and RevolveClothing.com and will start shipping around August 30th. So far, the 6126 collection includes footless tights made from Supima cotton and Modal ribbed knits along with other fabrics spruced up with zippers, foil prints, yarn dyes and metallic and screen prints. Cashmere leg warmers and something called an “ankle glove,” a modified warmer that covers the ankle, are also part of the line, which will start at $40 and go up to $140.
Hmmm, I'm iffy about it, but I will certainly check it out!

Random Fashion News

Kristen Davis has just announced that she’ll be launching an extensive apparel line in partnership with department store Belk. The collection of ultra-feminine clothing and accessories includes intimates, footwear, and handbags and jewelry. The items, which will range in price from $38 to $240, will also be available online starting this fall at belk.com. Belk is a Southern US department store, for all you confused readers!

Kate Moss has been dropped as the face of Agent Provocateur and replaces by Alice Dellal, a 20-year-old half Brazilian socialite. That's her picture in this post. Supposedly half her head is shaved - a strange choice for the brand but interesting.

Roberto Cavalli named his new muse Princess Beatrice??? When is someone going to make me a muse?!? I'm dying of jealousy here.

The CFDA Awards awards were last night and Naomi Campbell, Maggie Gyllenhaal and my favorite twin, Ashley Olsen were all wearing genie pants. You know, loose with tight cuffed hems? Bleh, I just wanted to warn you in case them came back.

SJP Dress Fiasco

Remember when this happened to Reese Witherspoon? Well, apparently the strapless Nina Ricci gown SJP wore to the NY premiere of "SATC" was worn previously! Not once, but twice! And Parker says she remarked to deisgner Oliver Theyskens during the fitting that she was surprised the dress hadn’t been worn before. He assured her it hadn’t. Oooo, burn! It was worn at the Met ball by some socialite and by LiLo for a magazine shoot. Though supposedly SJP knew about the magazine shoot. I think I'd still be annoyed and expect lots of free Nina Ricci frocks before I forgave.
