Torrid, an affordable and popular plus size fashion site, has launched a bridal collection! Wow, you could get yourself a wedding dress for under $250, great for brides smart enough to save their money for their honeymoon! Talbot's = Fashion Hell?

I admit, I've always had contempt for Talbot's. But when my friend recently said it was full of "old people clothes," I had a sudden urge to prove her wrong. I like to argue with people, which is both one of my best and worst qualities ;)
Anyhoo, I set off on a quest to find some wearable pieces that weren't so basic no one could screw them up. These are the results:

Relaxed in shape but tailored in pinstripe style (yes, I'm counting candy stripes pinstriped :P), these are an ultimate pair of Summer work pants. There aren't many pairs left so grab yours quick at Anthropologie for $98. They come in tall sizes too!

Cinched Bandeau One-Piece

While I'm SO over monokinis, I love the open back one piece! You can buy this one at Delia*s in a variety of heart colors, solids or stripes! The regular size is $39 and they have a long torso version for $43.

Sailor Collar Sweater

Pretty much every Spring sailor-inspired pieces come back into style, which I'm ok with. I like sailor preppy for some reason, it makes me feel very "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and the like. Buy this sweater at the Gap for the sale price of $38. Plus it come sin tall and petite sizes too!

Lust For Less: Long Cardigan

So pretty much every starlet is rocking the long cardigan look.

This one has front pockets and a drawstring hem. Buy it for $96 at Madison LA.

If you think that's a bit much for a trendy item, you can always buy this one from Gap for $50 in navy, gray or heather. You can also buy it in tall is you want extra long or petite if you want subtly long.

Lust For Less: Sequin Minis

Sequins are hot for the holidays! And a skirt is a great piece that you can pair with different tops to change up at various parties.

This Theory sequin mini is basic and cute, but costs a whooping $308 at Pink Mascara! Ooo, but I just found it at Neiman Marcus for the sale price of $207, hooray!

Taffeta Gathered Mini Skirt

When I first saw this skirt, I was kinda hesitant, but it's growing on me to the point that I totally want now! Someone buy for present, please! You can get it at Asos for £25 or about $51. I love how there are concealed drawstrings so you can customize your look however. It's also available in petite (whoever buys this for me, I'll need petite - thanks).

I'm always looking for tops that are stylish, match almost everything and can be thrown on when I'm just not in the mood to"create" an outfit for the day. This top fits the the bill perfectly with its fun pintucked front and basic shape. Buy it in petite at Liz Claiborne for $79.

Shawl Collar Sweater

This is a fantastic buy for the upcoming cold weather, I would get it in at least three colors! And of course Banana Republic has it in red, green, orange, black, gray, tan purple, white, and berry in addition to the blue shown. Get this for only $68 in regular, petite or tall. I heart all the options Banana provides!
